The Day of the Bad Mommy

Ever have one of those days?
My normal day off from the day job is Monday, but this week I took Wednesday. Wednesdays Boo gets out of school at 2pm, Mondays Boo gets out of school at 3:30pm. So OF COURSE today I received a lovely call from the incredibly patient and understanding Mrs. Fishbaugher letting me know that I forgot Boo at the school. Up to that point I had been feeling chuffed (don't know what that means, but it's in one of my favorite movies ever) at getting so much accomplished today, INCLUDING a meeting at the school with the principal at 1pm. But I am going to take my deep breathing exercises and leave my bad mommy moment behind me. After all, when I arrived at the school Boo just laughed at me anyway.

SO...
Another chair down in the house, but this time no pictures for show and tell. Apparently Travelous and Baby had a mishap, and now if you sit in anything other than a 90 degree angle the entire thing goes over with you in it. I know this the hard way, because after Travelous said to me THREE TIMES over the course of one hour "don't lean back in that chair" to the point where of course I grumpily replied "I KNOW!", I naturally leaned back in the chair. I was at a point where I was using every muscle in my body to balance the chair five inches above the ground while I clung desperately to the slide-out keyboard tray on the computer desk and screaming for Travis to come and help me. Of course my loving children came in first, and started laughing. The children were able to save me from my precarious position while Travelous Took a very brief "I told you so" pause. Ahhhh... family.

I apologize for the lack of pictures, and hope that tomorrow I will be feeling up to par. Health and happiness to all!

Did I ever tell you I made your 'binki' on a treadle sewing machine just so I could say I did? I'm not sure what this has to do with your chair problem but it came to my mind so, I spoke.
